The rhythms of the Latin music drifted out into the hot, sticky night air—Tango, Bossa Nova, Rhumba, the dances of passion where the lithe bodies of the young Argentinian women tempted the men to dance with them, before buying expensive bottles of wine priced at ten times their real value. The swarthy men in black shirts, with scarred faces and gold earrings, standing near to the exits, made sure that none left before their wallets had been emptied.
