I woke up to hear knocking on glass at first I thought it was the window until I heard it come from the mirror again.

I woke up to hear knocking on glass. At first I thought it was the window, until I heard it come from the mirror again. I glanced at my alarm clock. It was only five a.m., much earlier than I normally woke and my sleep addled brain found it hard to rationalize what I was hearing. The knocking was persistent and my instinct was to burrow back under the covers and try to ignore it. Surely I was dreaming?
